Ubuntu 8.04 and Eclipse something

So as summer comes I don't know what I will be doing but I do know some nice releases are on the way. Ubuntu 8.04 is almost out and the eclipse platform comes in June. Both these projects are on a regular release schedule. I like that. I don't know how they pull it off because it seems like my projects don't ever get done on time. Anyway if the openGL 3.0 standard came out this summer to life would be great. I don't know if I will ever use it but I would like to think I will.

What?! Eclipse is in June? Man, here I was, thinking it was regularly released in April. Now I have to wait even longer.

And yeah, I totally agree about the Eclipse "Ganymede" name. It is an easy to forget name. Kind of like "Pezad".

Let's hope there are some moons around Jupiter with shorter names for Eclipse to choose for their next synchronized release name. My money is on Io next. But if not, Id like them to go for Arche next, or possibly Kale. Those are some high-quality names.

Oh wait. I guess it is Io for 2009: http://mea-bloga.blogspot.com/2007/01/whats-in-name.html.
